I do not support what your country has done to Ukraine,\u201d McCarthy said. \u201cI do not support your killing of the children either. And I think for one standpoint, you should pull out, and I don\u2019t think it\u2019s right. And we will continue to support because the rest of the world sees it just as it is.\u201d<\/p>\n<h3>Republicans Crank Up Pressure to Halt Aid to Ukraine<\/h3>\n<p>More than 14 months after Russia began its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/6-major-things-biden-failed-to-address-in-his-speech-to-congress\/\" title=\"6 Major Things Biden Failed To Address In His Speech To Congress\">full-scale invasion<\/a> of Ukraine, the United States has pumped <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cfr.org\/article\/how-much-aid-has-us-sent-ukraine-here-are-six-charts#:~:text=Since%20the%20war%20began%2C%20the,Economy%2C%20a%20German%20research%20institute.\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">tens of billions of dollars<\/a> to prop up Kyiv\u2019s fight against Russian invaders. Some Republican members of the House have cranked up the pressure to halt the flow of aid to Ukraine. In February, Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) led a group of 11 lawmakers in introducing a <a href=\"https:\/\/gaetz.house.gov\/media\/press-releases\/matt-gaetz-leads-11-lawmakers-introduction-ukraine-fatigue-resolution-halt-us\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u201cUkraine Fatigue\u201d resolution<\/a>, which a press release said \u201cwould express through the sense of the House of Representatives that the United States must end its military and financial aid to Ukraine, and urges all combatants to reach a peace agreement.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>McCarthy rejected the proposal. \u201cNo, I support Ukraine,\u201d he told CNN when asked about the resolution. \u201cI don\u2019t support a blank check, though.
