Once again, the left is making it more difficult for families to protect their children.<\/p>\n<p>Arizona is a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tpusa.com\/live\/florida-becomes-26th-state-to-adopt-permitless-carry-law\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/texas-is-one-step-closer-to-becoming-a-constitutional-carry-state\/\" title=\"Texas Is One Step Closer To Becoming A Constitutional Carry State\">constitutional carry state<\/a><\/a>, meaning, the state recognizes citizens\u2019 right to own, carry, and use firearms for self-defense in public settings \u2014 provided the individual is of a certain age, depending on which firearm they wish to possess, and is <a href=\"https:\/\/c2tactical.com\/news\/what-do-you-need-to-buy-a-gun\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">eligible to own a firearm<\/a>. Gun owners in Arizona have the right under the law to conceal carry or open carry a firearm in public without a government issued permit. However, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.azdps.gov\/services\/public\/cwp\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">obtaining a CCW permit<\/a> in Arizona enables firearm owners to carry in more places and expedites new firearm purchases, among <a href=\"https:\/\/thehubaz.com\/blog\/should-you-get-a-ccw-in-arizona\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">other benefits<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Parents in Arizona already have the right to protect their children in public using personally owned firearms, but SB1331 would have allowed parents to protect their children while at school as well.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Ensuring the safety of our students is a responsibility that belongs to all of us,&#8221; Governor Hobbs said in her <a href=\"https:\/\/www.azleg.gov\/govlettr\/56leg\/1r\/sb1331.pdf\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">veto letter.<\/a> Some parents in the state, however, feel that this veto means the safety of students will be entirely up to law enforcement, and parents will be unable to play an active role.<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>The legislation was introduced in the wake of multiple tragic school shootings, but specifically aims to solve the problem first seen on a national scale in the Uvalde, Texas massacre last year. Hundreds of police officers were on site, but refrained from entering the classroom where children and teachers were desperately awaiting rescue. Officers can be heard in recordings <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tpusa.com\/live\/report-officers-in-uvalde-shooting-feared-the-gunmans-battle-rifle\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">expressing fear<\/a> over the gunmans\u2019 &#8220;battle rifle.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Law enforcement refused to confront the shooter until nearly 400 officers were on the scene, including 150 U.S. Border Patrol agents and 91 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tpusa.com\/live\/texas-dps-has-stopped-enforcing-age-limits-for-handgun-permits-following-federal-judge-ruling\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Texas DPS<\/a> officers.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<blockquote><p>\n      <cite><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tpusa.com\/live\/report-officers-in-uvalde-shooting-feared-the-gunmans-battle-rifle\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">TPUSA Live Feed<\/a><\/cite>\n    <\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>During this time, a mother of two children at Robb Elementary School, where the shooting occurred, <a href=\"https:\/\/cbsaustin.com\/news\/nation-world\/mom-who-saved-her-kids-from-uvalde-school-shooting-says-police-are-targeting-her-texas-robb-elementary-gunman-salvador-ramos-law-enforcement-response-angeli-rose-gomez-first-responders-who-is-pete-arredondo-town-square-protests-elementary-school-massacre\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">told<\/a> news outlets that she pleaded with officers to save the children and staff inside; however they took no action. Angeli Rose Gomez reportedly took matters into her own hands, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/florida-congressman-files-bill-to-give-states-ability-to-enforce-immigration-laws-when-federal-government-wont\/\" title=\"Florida Congressman Files Bill to Give States Ability to Enforce Immigration Laws When Federal Government Won\u2019t\">evaded law enforcement<\/a>, and ran into the school towards the gunfire to rescue her two sons. All three escaped safely.<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>&#8220;Allowing more guns on campus will not make a campus safer,&#8221; the Arizona Governor said, &#8220;Firearms on campus will have the potential to confuse law enforcement as they arrive at an active shooter situation.&#8221; Governor Hobbs instead said that she believes the solution to gun violence is &#8220;policy focuses on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/arizona-gov-katie-hobbs-kills-plan-to-allow-parents-to-conceal-carry-at-schools\/\" title=\"Arizona Gov.
