This has led to accusations from GOP Senator Ron Johnson that Blinken lied to Congress about such communications never happening during a December 2020 interview. Johnson has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/violent-antifa-lunatic-sentenced-to-nearly-five-years-in-prison\/\" title=\"Violent Antifa Lunatic Sentenced to Nearly Five Years in Prison\">declared plans<\/a> to release the transcript from the interview and has called for Blinken to be subpoenaed. <\/p>\n<h3>Bold-Faced Lies<\/h3>\n<p>\u201cNow, because of more information that\u2019s come out, we know that he <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/gop-senator-claims-blinken-lied-under-oath-about-hunter-biden-contacts\/\" title=\"GOP Senator Claims Blinken Lied Under Oath About Hunter Biden Contacts\">lied bold-faced<\/a> to Congress about never e-mailing Hunter Biden,\u201d Johnson said during an appearance on Fox News. This would be a crime that could warrant up to five years in prison. If that does not happen, he held out hope for the GOP-led House to issue subpoenas. \u201cWe need to get to the bottom of this. We need to show how corrupt these individuals are,\u201d Johnson said.<\/p>\n<h3>Emails and Accusations<\/h3>\n<p>Last week, Fox News reported on the emails, which showed correspondence between Blinken and Hunter Biden in 2015, talking about scheduling a meeting at a time when Blinken was serving as deputy secretary of state.
