N<\/span>early three quarters of Americans surveyed blamed illegal drug dealers<\/a> for the fentanyl crisis<\/a>. <\/p>\n

A YouGov poll found that 74% of respondents blamed the drug dealers who sell fentanyl “a lot.” Fewer, some 43% blamed Mexico and China respectively. About the same, 40% blamed pharmaceutical companies and 38% blamed the U.S. government. <\/p>\n

Other still victim-blamed, with 36% pointing the finger at those addicted. <\/p>\n

Another majority, 57% found the crisis to be a “very serious” problem as another 45% personally know someone with an opioid addiction. Still only 35% of respondents approved of President Joe Biden’s handling of the fentanyl crisis, while 44% disapproved and 73% agreed the government could be doing more. <\/p>\n

Meanwhile, there were only two pounds of fentanyl seized in all of 2013 comparied to over 10,000 pounds seized last year alone along the ports of entry, per the Washington Examiner’s<\/i> Anna Giaritelli<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
