The Limit, Save, Grow Act seeks to cool inflation and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/kevin-mccarthy-unveils-plan-to-responsibly-raise-debt-limit\/\" title=\"Kevin McCarthy Unveils Plan To \u2018Responsibly\u2019 Raise Debt Limit\">limit government spending<\/a> by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/leading-house-democrat-praises-buttigiegs-plan-to-spend-20-million-on-female-crash-dummies\/\" title=\"Leading House Democrat praises Buttigieg's plan to spend  million on female crash dummies\">reducing discretionary funds<\/a> to pre-pandemic levels and capping budget increases by 1% each year, among other provisions.<\/p>\n<h3>GOP Seizes on Debt Ceiling Vote to Target Vulnerable Democrats in New Attack Ads<\/h3>\n<p><b><u><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/campaigns\/gop-seizes-debt-ceiling-vote-target-vulnerable-democrats\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">GOP SEIZES ON DEBT CEILING VOTE TO TARGET VULNERABLE DEMOCRATS IN NEW ATTACK ADS<\/a><\/u><\/b><\/p>\n<p>Democrats seized on the vote, seeking to weaponize the legislation against Republicans in battleground districts ahead of a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/democrats-are-starting-to-panic-after-poll-shows-party-losing-influence-over-hispanic-voters\/\" title=\"Democrats Are Starting To Panic After Poll Shows Party Losing Influence Over Hispanic Voters\">crucial election cycle<\/a> in 2024.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are not surprised that so-called Republican moderates, who talk a good game, but at the end of the day always, always, always vote with the extremists,\u201d House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.) said on Friday. \u201cThey are going to have to answer for their hypocrisy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>However, many Republicans have expressed confidence that the attacks won\u2019t hurt their reelection chances. Here\u2019s a breakdown of some of the most vulnerable Republicans heading into the 2024 cycle and what they\u2019re saying about the debt limit bill.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Nick LaLota, New York\u2019s 1st Congressional District<\/b><\/li>\n<li>Rep. Nick LaLota (R-NY), one of five Republicans who flipped key seats in New York to help the GOP win control of the House in 2022, came out swinging on the debt ceiling, hoping to use Democrats\u2019 attacks in his favor.<\/li>\n<li>In a tweet on Thursday, Biden targeted the Republican members who voted in favor of the debt ceiling bill, accusing the lawmakers of cutting education spending. LaLota responded to those attacks, decrying the president for his use of \u201cscare tactics.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>\u201cWe need a President who will be honest about the nation\u2019s debt crisis, not one who will distract us with lies and scare tactics,\u201d LaLota said in a tweet. \u201cMoreover, the President\u2019s use of the WH\u2019s official account for campaign purposes\u2014 to target Republicans from swing districts\u2014 is worthy of criticism.\u201d<\/li>\n<li><b>David Schweikert, Arizona\u2019s 1st Congressional District<\/b><\/li>\n<li>Rep. David Schweikert (R-AZ) also sought to flip the script on the debt ceiling vote, turning the blame to Biden for refusing to restart negotiations with McCarthy.<\/li>\n<li>\u201cThe Limit, Save, Grow Act is a starting point toward reining in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/poll-more-than-half-of-americans-say-bidens-economy-is-in-poor-shape\/\" title=\"POLL: More Than Half Of Americans Say Biden\u2019s Economy Is In Poor Shape\">reckless government spending<\/a>,\u201d he said in a tweet. \u201cPresident Biden should come to the negotiating table with Speaker McCarthy to avoid threatening the fiscal health of our nation.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Schweikert also pointed to polling that shows a majority of voters in his <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/vulnerable-house-republicans-prepare-for-attacks-after-voting-to-advance-debt-limit-bill\/\" title=\"Vulnerable House Republicans prepare for attacks after voting to advance debt limit bill\">district support cutting government spending<\/a> in exchange for raising the debt ceiling despite Democratic claims to the contrary.<\/li>\n<li>\u201cThey think they\u2019re pushing us off a plank, [but Democrats] may be the ones about to fall into the ocean,\u201d he told the Hill. \u201cThey may be behind the electoral curve.\u201d<\/li>\n<li><b>Jen Kiggans, Virginia\u2019s 2nd Congressional District<\/b><\/li>\n<li>Rep.
