Version: 4.0.47--><div>\n<h2>Republicans Launch Ad Campaign Targeting Democrats Over Debt Ceiling Vote<\/h2>\n<p>Just one day after the House narrowly passed the GOP-led debt ceiling package, Republicans started using the vote to target vulnerable Democrats in a series of new ads that attack the lawmakers for voting against the legislation.<\/p>\n<p>The American Action Network, a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/gop-seizes-on-debt-ceiling-vote-to-target-vulnerable-democrats-in-new-attack-ads\/\" title=\"GOP seizes on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/manchin-shoots-down-democrats-talks-of-changing-filibuster-for-debt-ceiling-vote\/\" title=\"Manchin Shoots Down Democrats\u2019 Talks Of Changing Filibuster For Debt Ceiling Vote\">debt ceiling vote<\/a> to target vulnerable Democrats in new attack ads&#8221;>conservative nonprofit advocacy group<\/a>, launched the six-figure ad buy earlier this week, hitting on House Democrats for voting against the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/democrats-to-raise-debt-ceiling-by-2-5-trillion-with-funding-to-reach-past-2022-midterms\/\" title=\"Democrats to Raise Debt Ceiling by .5 Trillion\u00a0with Funding to Reach Past 2022 Midterms\">debt limit bill<\/a> and accusing them of \u201cputting the economy in crisis.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The ads are set to run in the districts of some of the most vulnerable House Democrats, including those who are running in districts that former President Donald Trump carried in 2020.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Mary Peltola (D-AK)<\/li>\n<li>Yadira Caraveo (D-CO)<\/li>\n<li>Jared Golden (D-ME)<\/li>\n<li>Dan Kildee (D-MI)<\/li>\n<li>Wiley Nickel (D-NC)<\/li>\n<li>Gabe Vasquez (D-NM)<\/li>\n<li>Marcy Kaptur (D-OH)<\/li>\n<li>Emilia Sykes (D-OH)<\/li>\n<li>Susan Wild (D-PA)<\/li>\n<li>Matt Cartwright (D-PA)<\/li>\n<li>Marie Perez (D-WA)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The ads are also set to play in the districts of some top House Democrats, including Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY), House Rules Committee ranking member Jim McGovern (D-MA), and House Budget Committee ranking member Brendan Boyle (D-PA).<\/p>\n<p>The attack messaging comes as Republicans seek to control the narrative surrounding the debt ceiling crisis, a subject that is likely to become a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/most-divisive-president-ever-condemns-personal-attacks-in-politics\/\" title=\"Most Divisive President Ever Condemns Personal Attacks In Politics\">top talking point<\/a> during the 2024 cycle.<\/p>\n<p>The ad also takes aim at President Joe Biden over his refusal to meet with House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) to continue negotiations, which the president has said he won\u2019t do until the House passes a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/biden-calls-on-congress-to-move-forward-on-raising-debt-ceiling\/\" title=\"Biden Calls On Congress To \u2018Move Forward\u2019 On Raising Debt Ceiling\">clean debt ceiling increase<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The United States hit its debt ceiling on Jan. 19, raising fears of a default. Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen said her department would take \u201cextraordinary measures\u201d to prevent the U.S. from defaulting on its obligations, but the department will only have a few months before those measures are exhausted.<\/p>\n<h3>What the Ad Says<\/h3>\n<p>The ad says, \u201cThey refused to responsibly raise the debt ceiling.
