Musk believes that regulations will protect the public from possible harmful effects of the nascent technology. He commented, \u201cAI has great power to do good and evil. Better the former.\u201d<\/p>\n<h3>Regulatory Framework for AI<\/h3>\n<p>Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) recently unveiled a possible regulatory framework for AI. The framework aims to \u201cincrease transparency, responsibility, and accountability\u201d for AI systems while \u201creducing the potential for misuse\u201d or promoting \u201cmisinformation and bias.\u201d Musk responded positively to the framework, stating that \u201cAI regulation will be far more important than it may seem today.\u201d<\/p>\n<h3>Concerns and Benefits of AI<\/h3>\n<p>While concerns about the potential negative effects of AI persist, studies have shown that AI systems drastically improve worker productivity. For example, generative AI helped customer support employees respond to 14% more chats than their colleagues who did not have access to the system.
