Speaking to reporters from the red carpet at the TIME 100 Summit Gala in New York on Wednesday evening, Lemon appeared to shrug off the news, saying, \u201cLife goes on. That\u2019s behind me, and we\u2019ll see what happens in the future.\u201d<\/p>\n<h3>What\u2019s Next for Lemon?<\/h3>\n<p>When asked about his immediate plans, Lemon said he was looking forward to spending time with his partner and the people who were important to him. \u201cI\u2019m going to have the summer of a 12-year-old,\u201d he added, suggesting that he did not intend to worry about more serious things \u2014 at least for the time being.<\/p>\n<h3>What About His Influence at CNN?<\/h3>\n<p>When asked about the influence he believed he had left behind at his now-former network, Lemon\u2019s reply was simple: \u201cWhy don\u2019t you ask my colleagues about that?\u201d<\/p>\n<h3>Putting Things in Perspective<\/h3>\n<p>One reporter asked about him losing his job, and Lemon replied by invoking his sister\u2019s 2018 accidental drowning: \u201cI didn\u2019t lose my job, I lost my sister.
