The list was compiled by Forbes in partnership with market research firm Statista, who surveyed 45,000 American workers from companies with at least 1,000 employees. The participants anonymously rated their companies on various criteria, including age, gender, ethnicity, disability, LGBT equality, and overall diversity.<\/p>\n<p>Forbes also asked participants from \u201cunderrepresented groups\u201d to recommend other companies that they felt matched the criteria, and each business\u2019 diversity-related policies were also reviewed and taken into consideration.
