Two Democrat candidates for the 2024 election have spoken out against President Joe Biden&#8217;s reelection launch, claiming that it won&#8217;t excite younger voters and that it goes against traditional Democrat values.<\/p>\n<p>Self-help author Marianne Williamson, who is running for the Democratic nomination, told The Hill on Tuesday that &#8220;an entire younger generation would stay home in droves in response to what that video is advancing as the administration\u2019s pitch to the American people.&#8221; She was referring to Biden&#8217;s pre-recorded video, which criticized former Republicans without naming them, and used images of the Jan. 6 Capitol breach and former President Donald Trump, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, and Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.).<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, activist Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who announced his own Democratic presidential bid last week, also criticized Biden&#8217;s launch. Kennedy, who is considered a long shot against Biden, said that he and Biden differ &#8220;profoundly on fundamental issues such as corporate influence in government, censorship, civil liberties, poverty, corruption, and war policy, among others.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s not just about the launch video, though. Williamson also criticized Biden&#8217;s refusal to fight for a higher minimum wage, permanentize the child tax credit, or side with railroad workers trying to negotiate for sick pay.
