Or will House Republicans stand up for the American people and demand an end to this irresponsible spending? The choice is ours.<\/p>\n<p>Thomas Jefferson once said that a wise and frugal government is necessary for a happy and prosperous people. But the elected officials who have plunged our nation into nearly $32 trillion in debt exemplify the antithesis of wisdom and frugality. They fund destructive, woke federal programs and endless wars, fueling record inflation in the process. And we foot the bill with our hard-earned taxpayer dollars.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s time for House Republicans to exhibit common-sense leadership and put an end to this federal spending spree. We need to rally around a plan to shrink the Washington bureaucracy and save approximately $1 trillion in year one and $4.5 trillion over a decade. This is the first step toward sanity and responsibility.<\/p>\n<p>The plan on the table now reduces total fiscal year 2024 &#8220;discretionary&#8221; spending to 2022 levels, limiting funding for federal agencies like the anti-energy EPA, the pro-critical race theory Department of Education, the anti-Second Amendment ATF, and the Covid tyrants at public health agencies like the CDC, NIH, and FDA. We need to cut off funding for corrupt groups that fuel the abuse of migrants by cartels and the World Health Organization, which does the bidding of the Chinese Communist Party.<\/p>\n<p>We also need to supercharge economic growth by unleashing American energy, crushing the climate cult&#8217;s anti-human policies, and empowering the working class.
