New York Democrat Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez celebrated Carlson&#8217;s exit, proving that deplatforming is their primary vehicle to cement a monopoly on thought and acceptable discourse.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Deplatforming works and it is important, and there you go. Good things can happen,&#8221; the congresswoman told her 8.6 million followers on Instagram.<\/p>\n<figure><\/figure>\n<p>But deplatforming is not just limited to Fox News. It&#8217;s a movement underway to censor views dissenting from the incumbent Washington regime, from the college campus to the corporate boardroom.<\/p>\n<p>Journalists Matt Taibbi and Michael Shellenberger shared how their reporting illuminated a deep state network between the federal government and America&#8217;s largest social media platforms to stomp out ideological non-conformity. &#8220;The censorship industrial complex combines established methods of psychological manipulation, some developed by the U.S. military during the global war on terror with highly sophisticated tools from computer science,&#8221; Shellenberger told the Weaponization probe.<\/p>\n<p>Democrats on the panel, desperate to implement a censorship regime, attacked Shellenberger and Taibbi in response.<\/p>\n<p>Congresswoman Ocasio-Cortez&#8217;s celebration of &#8220;deplatforming&#8221; shines a light on the left-wing obsession with censoring political opponents. The congresswoman even began fundraising off the network anchor&#8217;s ouster with pleas to raise money in the fight against &#8220;hate speech.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>But the fight against &#8220;hate speech&#8221; is just a euphemism for silencing those with inconvenient truths.
