Democratic presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. thinks so. He believes that the DNC&#8217;s decision to forgo primary debates would only confirm this suspicion to American voters. &#8220;Debates and town halls are part of the democratic process,&#8221; Kennedy told The Epoch Times. &#8220;We&#8217;re living in a time when there&#8217;s a lot of Americans who believe our democracy is broken. And I think both political parties have to bend over backwards to start restoring faith in democracy and electional integrity.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s not just Kennedy who&#8217;s concerned. Other Democrats, including Marianne Williamson and Nina Turner, have also criticized the DNC&#8217;s decision as &#8220;undemocratic&#8221; and &#8220;robbing voters of choice.&#8221; Even with multiple candidates vying for the party&#8217;s nomination, the Democratic Party has &#8220;no plans to sponsor primary debates,&#8221; according to a Washington Post report.<\/p>\n<p>For Kennedy, this move defies democracy itself. &#8220;You need to let the public decide who they want for leadership, rather than party commissars like they did in the Soviet Union or in China,&#8221; he asserted.<\/p>\n<p>As rumors swirl that Biden may formally announce his 2024 presidential campaign this week, questions about debates have begun to crop up as well. But with the DNC&#8217;s decision, it seems that the American public may not have the opportunity to hear from all the candidates. Will this only serve to confirm suspicions that American elections are rigged?
