According to Tucker Carlson, it&#8217;s the biggest variable changing everyday Americans&#8217; lives in recent years. Speaking at The Heritage Foundation&#8217;s 50th-anniversary gala, Carlson highlighted how normal Americans&#8217; access to the information pipeline is significantly hampered despite living in a digital world where data and details are available to everyone with access to the internet.<\/p>\n<figure>\n<p>\n\t\t\t<span><br \/>\n\t\t\t\t<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Tucker Carlson Keynote Address | Heritage 50th Anniversary Celebration\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/ebG2POkoHgU?start=1049&#038;enablejsapi=1#038;feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><br \/>\n\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\t<\/p>\n<\/figure>\n<p>Carlson said that &#8220;hundreds of millions&#8221; of Americans &#8220;have no idea what&#8217;s going on&#8221; because the ruling class does not want them to know the facts. Keeping Americans clueless is advantageous to those who control information pipelines because it &#8220;challenges the idea of democracy, which rests on the notion of an informed voting public, of a citizenry.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>But don&#8217;t lose hope just yet. Carlson advised listeners not to throw away hardcopy books and to consider buying &#8220;gold and ammo.&#8221; He emphasized the importance of physical things that you can smell, like books, relationships, and ammo. &#8220;As the world becomes more digitized and people live in this kind of realm that&#8217;s disconnected from physical reality, I think the only way to stay sane is to cling more tightly to the things that you can smell,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p>Roberts joked that &#8220;if things go south for you at Fox News, there&#8217;s always a job for you at Heritage.&#8221; Mere days after the event and Roberts&#8217; teasing, Fox News abruptly announced that it &#8220;mutually agreed to part ways&#8221; with the host of &#8220;Tucker Carlson Tonight,&#8221; which is consistently ranked the highest-rated cable news show.
