In a recent interview with CBS News\u2019 \u201c60 Minutes,\u201d Epps spoke out against Fox News host Tucker Carlson, claiming that he was \u201cobsessed\u201d with him and trying to ruin his life.<\/p>\n<p>Despite the controversy surrounding him, Epps expressed remorse for his actions on January 6, saying that it brings back bad memories and that it&#8217;s hard to see the Capitol under attack. However, he also defended himself against accusations that he was directed by anyone from the federal government, including the FBI.<\/p>\n<p>During the interview, Epps also addressed a text message he sent to his nephew immediately after the riot in which he claimed that he \u201corchestrated it.\u201d He explained that he was boasting to his nephew and that he shouldn&#8217;t have used that word.<\/p>\n<p>Despite his explanations, conservative media and Republican lawmakers have called into question Epps\u2019 role in the riot.
