No decision has been made, the report said.<\/p>\n<p>An IRS agent <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/irs-whistleblower-alleges-hunter-biden-probe-misconduct\">alleged<\/a> this week that\u00a0the federal government\u2019s criminal investigation into Hunter Biden is being corrupted by lies and politics.<\/p>\n<p>The allegations appeared Wednesday in a letter that the agent\u2019s lawyer, Mark Lytle, sent to leaders of both parties in Congress. Though the letter only says the agent is overseeing the \u201congoing and sensitive investigation of a high-profile, controversial subject,\u201d sources confirmed to The Wall Street Journal the investigation into Hunter Biden is the focus of the matter.<\/p>\n<p>The letter identifies the client as an \u201cIRS criminal supervisory special agent\u201d who has already made \u201clegally protected disclosures internally at the IRS, through counsel to the U.S. Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration, and to the Department of Justice, Office of Inspector General.\u201d Now this IRS agent wants to make protected whistleblower disclosures to Congress despite \u201cserious risks of retaliation,\u201d the letter says.<\/p>\n<p>Disclosures made to the government watchdogs \u201ccontradict sworn testimony to Congress by a senior political appointee,\u201d \u201cinvolve failure to mitigate clear conflicts of interest in the ultimate disposition of the case,\u201d and \u201cdetail examples of preferential treatment and politics improperly infecting decisions and protocols that would normally be followed by career law enforcement professionals in similar circumstances if the subject were not politically connected,\u201d according to the letter.<\/p>\n<p><b><a href=\"https:\/\/onelink.to\/dwapp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" aria-describedby=\"sk-tooltip-9096\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/onelink.to\/dwapp&#038;source=gmail&#038;ust=1681913061093000&#038;usg=AOvVaw1nSUp7X_GMxrPR-OuaxTA7\">CLICK HERE TO GET THE DAILYWIRE+ APP<\/a><\/b><\/p>\n<p>The letter adds: \u201cSome of the protected disclosures contain information that is restricted by statute from unauthorized disclosure to protect taxpayer and tax return information.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>FBI and IRS investigators have been looking into his foreign business dealings, tax affairs, and more.
