An argument can be made that Netflix made millions by transforming an irrevocably evil man, Steven Avery, into a sympathetic character. \u2018Making a Murderer\u2019 was a docuseries that earned awards and worldwide applause due to the moral bankruptcy of two filmmakers that were willing to murky the memory and horrific murder of Teresa Halbach \u2014 the actual victim of this tragic story,\u201d said Owens of the project.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMaking a Murderer\u201d premiered on Netflix in 2015, and followed the case of Steven Avery, who was convicted for the murder of photographer Teresa Halbach.
