A<\/span>cting Federal Aviation Administration<\/a> Administrator Billy Nolen<\/a> will be stepping down from his position over the summer. <\/p>\n

An inner letter that was obtained by<\/a> Politico <\/i>and<\/a> the Wall Street Journal<\/i> contained the news. To spend more time with his life, according to Nolen, he is resigning.<\/p>\n

Neither A POLITICAL PARTISAN, BUT AN Skilled AVIATION LEADER IS NEEDED BY THE FAA.<\/a><\/b><\/p>\n

He said,” I’ve’ve given everything to this organization, and now it’s’s time to do the same for my family ,” who have helped me out so much while I was a member of the FAA.<\/p>\n

Nolen continued,” Now is the time for a fresh master to lead the FAA.”<\/p>\n

His exit comes after the organization hasn’t had a president appointed by the Senate for more than two years.<\/p>\n

Transportation<\/a> Secretary Pete Buttigieg<\/a> praised Nolen’s tenure in a statement, saying he had kept safety at the forefront of his priorities. <\/p>\n

Buttigieg praised Billy as a great leader, fair expert, and devoted public servant.<\/p>\n

The FAA’s’s top executive is leaving as the organization deals with a number of problems, including many near-collisions between planes at terminals, the anticipated return of air travel to pre-pandemic levels, and lagging concept that has resulted in plane grounded.<\/p>\n

Sen. Ted Cruz<\/a>( R-TX ) proposed Nolen as a viable alternative to the Biden administration’s’s choice of Denver International Airport CEO Phil Washington, who withdrew from consideration in response to Republican opposition because he was well-liked by both parties.<\/p>\n

The Wall Street Journal<\/i> reported that Nolen removed himself from the White House’s’s elite pool to take the position of agency leader.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
