Since then, he and Carey Dunne, the other former prosecutor, have established a law firm. He also took part in the press tour earlier this year for the publication of&#8221; People vs. Donald Trump.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Trump was charged with falsifying business reports as part of what Bragg claimed to be a&#8221; catch-and-kill&#8221; scheme to sway the 2016 election late last month, and the former president later entered not guilty pleas to 34 felony works. Trump, who has just begun a 2024 presidential system, denies any crime.<\/p>\n<p>A supporter of Trump, House Judiciary Chairman <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/topic\/jim-jordan\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Jim Jordan<\/a>( R &#8211; OH ), has been looking into the Manhattan case. Jordan sent a summons to Pomerantz to ask for his testimony, claiming that the previous prosecutor&#8217;s&#8217;s public remarks regarding the investigation into allegations that Trump and his partners made covert purchases during the 2016 election cycle suggested the district attorney in Manhattan had political motivations. Democrat Bragg then accused Jordan of&#8221; barrier and interference&#8221; in a lawsuit that sought to halt the lawsuit.<\/p>\n<p><b data-stringify-type=\"bold\"><a class=\"c-link c-link--focus-visible\" href=\"https:\/\/onelink.to\/dwapp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-stringify-link=\"https:\/\/onelink.to\/dwapp\" data-sk=\"tooltip_parent\" aria-describedby=\"sk-tooltip-6461\">TO GET THE DAILY WIRE APP, CLICK Around<\/a><\/b><\/p>\n<p>Jordan&#8217;s&#8217;s spokesman, Russell Dye, stated on Wednesday that&#8221; we look forward to his testimony before the Judiciary Committee and that Congress has the ability to perform monitoring and issue summons to people like Mark Pomeranz.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>However, the constitutional battle over the lawsuit is far from over.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.courtlistener.com\/docket\/67168488\/45\/bragg-v-jordan\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bragg\u2019s team<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/storage.courtlistener.com\/recap\/gov.uscourts.nysd.597015\/gov.uscourts.nysd.597015.47.0.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Pomerantz<\/a> moved to appeal the decision to the 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Manhattan. Though Pomerantz had been set to testify on Thursday morning, the federal appeals court <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Jose_Pagliery\/status\/1649025240352038916\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">agreed to a pause<\/a> so that a three-judge panel could consider the motion seeking a stay pending appeal of the district court\u2019s order.
