Version: 4.0.47--><p>Anheuser-Busch took some serious heat after announcing a marketing partnership between popular product Bud Light and trans-identifying influencer Dylan Mulvaney \u2014 but a recently-resurfaced Bud Light commercial paints a very different picture.<\/p>\n<p>The ad, which first aired in 1994, showed a group of men who were dressed as women in order to secretly enter a women\u2019s pool tournament in which the prize was Bud Light.<\/p>\n<p><strong>WATCH:<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>In the 30-second ad, several men wearing dresses and wigs \u2014 and at least one of whom has a mustache \u2014 come into the bar where the tournament is being held, and they proceed to run the table.<\/p>\n<p>The women competing against them appear disappointed \u2014 and oblivious to the deception.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThese guys are good,\u201d they complain.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWho are you calling \u2018guys\u2019?\u201d one of the men asks, putting on a falsetto voice.<\/p>\n<p>The ad ends with the fake women making it into the tournament finals \u2014 and one of the cross-dressing males approaches the defending champion. \u201cYou\u2019re the defending ladies pool champion?\u201d he asks.<\/p>\n<p>The person turns to face him, and it\u2019s clear that the previous champion is also a cross-dressing male: \u201cYes, I am.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Three decades later, Bud Light reportedly was attempting to shed the \u201cfratty\u201d image of prior advertisements when partnering with Mulvaney \u2014 but instead, the brand received <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/numbers-show-bud-light-parent-company-has-lost-significant-market-value-since-trans-influencer-controversy\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">significant blowback<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Country music star Brantley Gilbert <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/f-that-country-music-star-gets-tossed-a-bud-light-during-concert-smashes-it\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">smashed a Bud Light<\/a> onstage during a recent concert after a fan threw it to him. \u201cYeah, f*** that,\u201d he said, throwing it down.<\/p>\n<p><b data-stringify-type=\"bold\"><a class=\"c-link c-link--focus-visible\" href=\"https:\/\/onelink.to\/dwapp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-stringify-link=\"https:\/\/onelink.to\/dwapp\" data-sk=\"tooltip_parent\" aria-describedby=\"sk-tooltip-7187\">CLICK HERE TO GET THE DAILY WIRE APP<\/a><\/b><\/p>\n<p>Fox Nation host Piers Morgan addressed the topic in conversation with comedian Bill Maher, adding that in his mind, the partnership between Mulvaney and sportswear brand Nike was a larger problem.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI said that for someone who identified as a gay man until last year to be sporting a women\u2019s sports bra, despite having no breasts, as \u2018they\u2019 pranced around like a clueless non-athlete, mimicking how a misogynist would scornfully depict a woman doing sport, struck me as a slap in the face to actual women,\u201d Morgan <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/a-slap-in-the-face-to-actual-women-piers-morgan-unloads-on-trans-marketing-trend\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">wrote<\/a> after the show. \u201cAnd to my surprise, given how liberal Maher\u2019s audience tends to be, my comments were met with loud applause.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Anheuser-Busch took some serious heat after announcing a marketing partnership between popular product Bud Light and trans-identifying influencer Dylan Mulvaney \u2014 but a recently-resurfaced Bud Light commercial paints a very different picture.
