The communication was\u00a0obtained by the\u00a0Heritage Foundation and shared with The Daily Wire.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAt a time when transgender individuals and their families face increasing attacks on their rights and basic humanity, it is critically important for the EEOC to continue enforcing the rights of transgender workers under the law,\u201d reads the email from EEOC Chairwoman\u00a0<span class=\"field field--name-title field--type-string field--label-hidden\">Charlotte Burrows.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Burrows sent the email on March 31\u00a0to mark and celebrate\u00a0\u201cTransgender Day of Visibility,\u201d just four days after the Nashville shooting.<\/p>\n<p>On March 27, a trans-identifying woman\u00a0gunned down six people at a Christian school in Nashville, including three children.<\/p>\n<p>The shooter was a former student and may have been partly motivated by a sense of \u201cresentment,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/crime\/resentment-possible-motive-covenant-school-shooter\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">according<\/a> to Nashville police.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"field field--name-title field--type-string field--label-hidden\">Burrows, who includes her pronouns in her signature,<\/span>\u00a0said in the email that she is \u201cpleased\u201d to share that the EEOC has sued a Buffalo restaurant that \u201csubjected a young transgender worker to egregious harassment based on his gender identity.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe harassment was led by one of the restaurant\u2019s owners and included offensive questions about the employee\u2019s genitalia, statements that he was not a \u2018real man,\u2019 and equating transgender status with pedophilia,\u201d Burrows wrote. \u201cThe employee was also repeatedly and intentionally referred to as \u2018she\u2019 or \u2018her\u2019 even though he presented as male from the beginning of his employment and clarified early on that he uses male pronouns.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><b data-stringify-type=\"bold\"><a class=\"c-link c-link--focus-visible\" href=\"https:\/\/onelink.to\/dwapp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-stringify-link=\"https:\/\/onelink.to\/dwapp\" data-sk=\"tooltip_parent\" aria-describedby=\"sk-tooltip-81130\">CLICK HERE TO GET THE DAILY WIRE APP<\/a><\/b><\/p>\n<p>Burrows also shared that the EEOC is updating its \u201cnondiscrimination and inclusion\u201d policy on gender identity and sexual orientation to make it more inclusive. This includes a new gender identity and inclusion coordinator to help trans-identifying employees.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMany thanks to each of you for all that you are doing to make the EEOC a safe and inclusive environment and a place where transgender workers can seek and obtain justice,\u201d Burrows concluded in her email.<\/p>\n<p>The EEOC email was obtained by attorney Roman\u00a0<span class=\"qu\" role=\"gridcell\"><span class=\"gD\" data-hovercard-id=\"Roman.Jankowski@heritage.org\" data-hovercard-owner-id=\"87\">Jankowski who serves as senior investigative counsel for the Heritage Foundation\u2019s Oversight Project.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u201cI was disappointed to find out that even the EEOC doesn\u2019t actually believe in equality when it comes to religious discrimination,\u201d <span class=\"qu\" role=\"gridcell\"><span class=\"gD\" data-hovercard-id=\"Roman.Jankowski@heritage.org\" data-hovercard-owner-id=\"87\">Jankowski told The Daily Wire.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe administration\u2019s obsession with equality seems to ironically exclude groups it doesn\u2019t like \u2014 especially if they are Christians,\u201d Jankowski said. \u201cThe Chairwomen of the EEOC, Charlotte Burrows, appears to care more about the pronouns than the children massacred by a radical transgender shooter.
