Katy got booed!\u201d Bryan said. Fellow judge Lionel Richie added, \u201cWhoa, hostility!\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/ew.com\/tv\/katy-perry-booed-american-idol-glitter\/https:\/\/ew.com\/tv\/katy-perry-booed-american-idol-glitter\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Entertainment Weekly<\/a> noted.<\/p>\n<p>However, the \u201cFirework\u201d star didn\u2019t seem fazed by the crowd\u2019s reaction and said, \u201cOK, first time in six seasons.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><b data-stringify-type=\"bold\"><a class=\"c-link c-link--focus-visible\" href=\"https:\/\/onelink.to\/dwapp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-stringify-link=\"https:\/\/onelink.to\/dwapp\" data-sk=\"tooltip_parent\" aria-describedby=\"sk-tooltip-83042\">CLICK HERE TO GET THE DAILY WIRE APP<\/a><\/b><\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhoo-hoo!\u201d she added. \u201cBut what I\u2019m saying is that I\u2019d like you to flip the script. I\u2019d love to see that, and I think America might, too.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Perry previously faced criticism from viewers who accused her of being a bully for \u201cmom-shaming\u201d contestant Sara Beth Liebe, a mother of three.<\/p>\n<p>Some fans of the show said Perry was rude to Liebe after the mom revealed her singing expertise was basically the \u201cchurch choir.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIs this your dream?\u201d Perry asked the contestant, who appeared rattled and simply replied, \u201cUm.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf it\u2019s not your dream, you might need to leave because there\u2019s a lot of dreams behind you,\u201d the \u201cTeenage Dream\u201d hitmaker added.<\/p>\n<p>Liebe admitted she was \u201cstill processing\u201d being away from her kids before she finally started with her first song. However, Perry seemed unimpressed and prodded her, \u201cShow us what your voice can do. Take it to the limit. No looking back.
