Colby also testified that he received messages from his younger sister after she disappeared. The messages, he said, didn\u2019t sound like they were from Tylee.<\/p>\n<p>On the jailhouse phone call, Colby mentioned those messages and expressed his feelings to his mother.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI was deceived and I was broken by my own mother,\u201d he said, according to Insider. \u201cI can\u2019t tell you the amount of pain I have felt.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI feel like I could die,\u201d Colby added. \u201cYou ripped my heart out.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Vallow Daybell was once a traditional Mormon, but after meeting Chad, the Idaho mother\u2019s religious views became dark and disturbing, according to Melanie Gibb, a former friend of Vallow Daybell. She testified last week that Lori believed people fell within a scale ranging from \u201clight\u201d to \u201cdark,\u201d who either \u201csigned contracts\u201d with Jesus Christ or Satan.<\/p>\n<p>Vallow Daybell told Gibb in September 2019 that her son had become \u201cdark,\u201d Gibb testified,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/crime\/lori-vallow-daybell-jj-vallow-vanished-dark-spirit\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">according to People Magazine<\/a>. Vallow Daybell reportedly told Gibb that Tylee had become \u201cdark\u201d earlier in the year.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe let me know that J.J. now had an evil spirit in him,\u201d Gibb testified on Thursday. \u201cShe learned it the day before.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Just two months after Vallow Daybell said J.J. had gone \u201cdark,\u201d the children disappeared and were never seen alive again.<\/p>\n<p>Gibb also testified that Vallow Daybell told her J.J., who was autistic, had become more \u201cdifficult\u201d and had allegedly said \u201cI love Satan.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Lori and Chad are both charged with murdering Vallow Daybell\u2019s children as well as Chad\u2019s ex-wife Tammy.<\/p>\n<p>The pair was charged on May 25, 2021, but the trial is just getting started, 12 News\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.12news.com\/article\/news\/crime\/lori-vallow-trial-proceedings-begin-monday-arizona-idaho-murders\/75-14c600a8-3067-456a-b6d2-c525d20f4454\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reported<\/a>.
