Photos <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2023\/04\/18\/chinese-police-station-fbi-democrats-new-york\/\">obtained<\/a> by the <em>Daily Caller<\/em> reveal Lu appeared at fundraisers and other events with top Democrats including Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (N.Y.), New York City mayor Eric Adams, and Rep. Grace Meng (N.Y.).<\/span><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_1719810\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1719810\"><a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/Screen-Shot-2023-04-19-at-2.49.35-PM-1.png\"><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-1719810\">Sen. Chuck Schumer and Mayor Eric Adams with Lu Jianwang (circled)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><span>Prosecutors allege that Lu, along with <\/span><span>Chen Jinping, ran an outpost in Chinatown for Chinese officials to spy and collect information on enemies of the regime.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>&#8220;This prosecution reveals the Chinese government&#8217;s flagrant violation of our nation&#8217;s sovereignty by establishing a secret police station in the middle of New York City,&#8221; federal prosecutor Breon Peace said in a <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/national-security\/us-charges-two-with-setting-up-chinese-secret-police-station-in-new-york\/\"><span>statement<\/span><\/a><span>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Prosecutors <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/national-security\/us-charges-two-with-setting-up-chinese-secret-police-station-in-new-york\/\"><span>said<\/span><\/a><span> the two defendants deleted correspondence with Chinese officials after they learned they were under investigation.<\/span>\t<\/p>\n<p><span>The photographs come as a federal watchdog <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/national-security\/the-us-government-has-no-clue-how-much-taxpayer-money-is-flowing-into-china\/\"><span>found<\/span><\/a><span> that U.S. officials don\u2019t know how much taxpayer money is making its way to the CCP. The U.S. Government Accountability Office said data on money to China are &#8220;<\/span><span>incomplete and sometimes inaccurate.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Schumer and Adams are not the only prominent Democrats to have had contact with alleged Chinese spies. Rep.
