F<\/span>ormer championship swimmer turned women\u2019s sports advocate Riley Gaines<\/a> said the Biden administration\u2019s<\/a> proposed changes to Title IX<\/a> \u201cproves the state of our nation.\u201d <\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re denying objective truth,\u201d Gaines said while appearing on Hannity<\/i> on Tuesday. \u201c<\/i>We\u2019re denying the sheer essence of humanity. I hate to break it to all your viewers, but guess what we were all here because we were from man and woman, and we\u2019re denying that.\u201d <\/p>\n

The Biden administration has proposed changes to Title IX, making it a violation to ban transgender athletes<\/a> from the sporting competition of their identified gender. The new regulation, which is currently in its 30-day public comment period, comes as several conservative states have passed legislation protecting women\u2019s sports<\/a> and private spaces. <\/p>\n

\u201cWhat the Biden administration is trying to do by rewriting Title IX, it only affects women and affects women in a negative way,\u201d Gaines said. <\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s so much contributing to the erasure of women, whether it be changing language. I mean, it\u2019s now offensive to use the term mother \u2014 it\u2019s birthing person, and it\u2019s not breastfeeding, it\u2019s chest feeder,\u201d Gaines added. \u201cSo what\u2019s going on with the language? There\u2019s so much that\u2019s erasing women.\u201d <\/p>\n

Gaines also noted that the proposed Title IX changes will only impact women\u2019s sports. <\/p>\n

\u201cNotice how this isn\u2019t something that affects men,\u201d Gaines said. \u201cNotice how there\u2019s not going to be a biological woman or a trans man who will compete against the men. And I can tell you why that is. It\u2019s because a female can never be competitive with the men, especially at the elite level.\u201d <\/p>\n

While traveling the country speaking out against biological males\u2019 participation in women\u2019s sports, Gaines has faced verbal and physical attacks. She most recently made headlines when a mob of transgender activists harassed her<\/a> during a speaking event at San Francisco State University. <\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t let it deter me. I look at it as if it\u2019s as proof that I\u2019m doing something right. When someone wants to silence you that bad and they do so through violence, it\u2019s proof that they don\u2019t have truth on their side, they don\u2019t have science or common sense or anything to dissuade from my argument other than resorting to verbal and physical violence,\u201d Gaines said. <\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m speaking for the overwhelming majority of female athletes and, truthfully, I\u2019m sick of asking people with influential platforms to speak up,\u201d she added. \u201cSo if this is something I have to do on my own, I\u2019ll carry the weight of every girl and woman on my shoulders.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
