Not vegan, but a little healthier, and get it down a couple ticks.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Ray Romano Reveals He Underwent Heart Procedure After 90% of His Artery Was Blocked  <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/T9Ihfn5hKn\">https:\/\/t.co\/T9Ihfn5hKn<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 People (@people) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/people\/status\/1648352698264084480?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">April 18, 2023<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The comedian said even though he would try, eventually he would end up going back to his bad habits so he had to end up on statins, medication that is given for lowering cholesterol and reducing the risk of heart attacks and strokes, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.yahoo.com\/entertainment\/ray-romano-reveals-had-stent-232202319.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Yahoo.com<\/a> noted.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut then I\u2019d go home and think I was hot s***, I got it down already, and I\u2019d start cheating, and cheating, and that was the cycle,\u201d Romano said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI just had to have a stent put in,\u201d he added.\u00a0 \u201cI had 90% blockage [in the main artery]. I got kinda lucky that we found it. So, of course, then I\u2019m on the meds, and my cholesterol dropped right away. If I could go back 20 years ago, I would\u2019ve went on the meds, ya know?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Earlier this month, Romano told <a href=\"https:\/\/www.etonline.com\/ray-romano-reveals-he-had-an-almost-completely-blocked-artery-in-his-heart-202849\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Entertainment Tonight<\/a> that he recently went to see a cardiologist after having chest pains while directing his film, \u201cSomewhere in Queens.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI called my agent at one in the morning because I couldn\u2019t sleep, I go, \u2018I can\u2019t do it, can\u2019t do this,&#8217;\u201d the actor said. \u201cBecause \u2014 I\u2019m not joking \u2014 I had to go to my cardiologist in New York and get on the treadmill and do a stress test because I was getting chest pains.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u201cEverybody Loves Raymond\u201d star Ray Romano said he got \u201ckinda lucky\u201d that doctors discovered he had 90% blockage in his heart before he suffered a stroke or heart attack.
