If it goes wrong, which he admits it could, then he frets the West will take that as a sign that Ukraine\u2019s hope is lost forever.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe whole importance of\u00a0the counteroffensive, all the hopes we put on this\u2014this is very unhealthy,\u201d he told Newsweek. \u201cIf anything goes wrong, or it\u2019s not successful enough\u2014and what is enough?\u2014people will have all these excuses. They will say they knew that was going to happen, and now we must get to the table and negotiate something.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>From his perspective, the West needs to provide better supplies \u2014 quicker and with more discreetness. Until that happens, Russia will be able to attack Ukraine strategically. For now, though, Prystaiko says that there is much to be proud of for the Ukrainian people.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey decided to squash us totally, and it never happened,\u201d he said. \u201cNow we\u2019re talking about whether we have <a class=\"multivariate\" href=\"https:\/\/www.newsweek.com\/russia-panicking-bakhmut-delays-ukraine-adviser-andriy-zagorodnyuk-1790837\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bakhmut<\/a>. Ask Ukrainians, they will say they had never heard of Bakhmut. And the Russians have been fighting for six months to take this town of 30,000 people. Ukraine is 40 million people. This is a tiny place. We\u2019re losing people, it\u2019s tragic. But it\u2019s not that important.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><b data-stringify-type=\"bold\"><a class=\"c-link c-link--focus-visible\" href=\"https:\/\/onelink.to\/dwapp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-stringify-link=\"https:\/\/onelink.to\/dwapp\" data-sk=\"tooltip_parent\">CLICK HERE TO GET THE DAILY WIRE APP<\/a><\/b><\/p>\n<p>Prystaiko said \u201cpeople have to understand that we not only survived, we\u2019re actually dictating the terms to these same Russians. I don\u2019t understand why people do not see the beauty of it, especially in the West.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Indeed, there is beauty in a nation defending its borders, language, and culture from an outside threat. The American people see the beauty in that, and wonder why the Biden administration and its allies don\u2019t feel the same way about America.<\/p>\n<p>So, if you support the Biden administration and the Republican Establishment\u2019s agenda, you\u2019d say that the West \u2014 led by the U.S.\u00a0 \u2014 needs to keep supporting Ukraine with billions upon billions of dollars as America\u2019s economy suffers as requested by Prystaiko.<\/p>\n<p>If you don\u2019t want the U.S. to enter World War III, then you might be wondering why nobody has demanded that Ukraine enter peace talks before more of its people get killed and the U.S. gets dragged directly into the war with Russia.<\/p>\n<p>If the recent classified docs leaks are real, the U.S. already has military personnel on the ground. As the Newsweek article notes, Russian President Vladimir Putin is \u201csettling\u201d in for a long war. Is the U.S. really going to allow Ukraine \u201cto fight to the last man,\u201d as chief war drum-beater Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) has said?
