A-plus work by the InBev team.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Commentator Clifton Duncan wrote, \u201cHaving already incurred the wrath of their core consumers, they know that apologizing for using Dylan Mulvaney as a brand ambassador will incur the wrath of \u2018Progressive\u2019 activists. This is a frightened CEO, cowed into addressing the issue, but saying nothing. What a disaster.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Christina Pushaw, rapid response director on Florida Governor Ron DeSantis\u2019 political team, responded to the statement by saying the company should just be focused on their product.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHow about \u2026 just selling beer? Corporations should focus on their business instead of social engineering,\u201d she said. \u201cAlso, this statement didn\u2019t include a word about the actual controversy. Keep up the boycott \u2014 it\u2019s noticed. We need to keep making woke virtue signaling costly for them.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Political consultant Noah Pollak tweeted, \u201cThe real problem at Budweiser is contempt for the customer. That\u2019s what their woke marketing is, and it\u2019s what this unbelievably pretentious and condescending statement is.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Daily Wire podcast host Matt Walsh tweeted: \u201cThe Bud Light boycott has been by far one the most successful conservative efforts to push back against corporate wokeism we\u2019ve ever seen. Initially, there was\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/trans-activist-dylan-mulvaney-announces-partnership-with-bud-light-but-no-one-knows-if-its-a-prank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">confusion<\/a>\u00a0as to whether the April Fool\u2019s Day announcement from Mulvaney was even real because Bud Light\u2019s official\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/topic\/social-media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">social media<\/a>\u00a0pages and press page made no mention of a partnership with him.<\/p>\n<p>But Bud Light confirmed and defended its partnership with Mulvaney on April 3, saying that the custom beer cans were a \u201cgift\u201d for Mulvaney\u2019s personal milestone, a reference to the 365 days Mulvaney has gone posting videos in make-up and women\u2019s clothing.<\/p>\n<p>While sources familiar with the matter later\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/new-details-emerge-over-mistake-that-led-to-bud-lights-paid-marketing-engagement-with-trans-influencer\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">claimed<\/a>\u00a0to The Daily Wire that \u201cno one at the senior level\u201d of the company was aware of Bud Light\u2019s polarizing partnership with Mulvaney, the company\u2019s vice president of marketing recently touted her mandate to make the brand more \u201cinclusive.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Last week, the company issued a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/bud-light-confirms-brand-partnership-with-dylan-mulvaney-aim-to-authentically-connect-with-various-demographics\">statement<\/a>\u00a0confirming the partnership and describing it as an attempt to \u201cauthentically connect with audiences across various demographics and passion points.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The marketing stunt appears to have cost the company\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/numbers-show-bud-light-parent-company-has-lost-significant-market-value-since-trans-influencer-controversy\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">$5 billion<\/a>\u00a0in market value this week, and the backlash to the iconic American beer brand has been so intense that a Budweiser distributor in Missouri\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2023\/04\/11\/budweiser-clydesdale-showings-canceled-amid-dylan-mulvaney-controversy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">canceled<\/a>\u00a0an event with the company\u2019s famous Clydesdale horses because everything was \u201cstill sensitive\u201d over the matter.<\/p>\n<p>Major conservative figures, including\u00a0<a
