The funds from this program, called the Chelsea Eats program, are meant to subsidize food and utility bill payments. A Chelsea city spokesperson told the <i>Washington Examiner<\/i> that the funds would be loaded on recipients&#8217; debit cards, which were issued in early March. <\/p>\n<p><b><a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/small-businesses-are-less-optimistic-about-the-future-survey-finds\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Study FINDS, Smaller Companies ARE LESS OPTIMISTIC ABOUT THE FUTURE<\/a><\/b><\/p>\n<p>The program&#8217;s&#8217;s <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.chelseama.gov\/departments\/public_health\/covid-19_emergency_assistance_programs.php#collapse2093b1\">website<\/a> states that&#8221; recipients of the program will be chosen using a lottery system.&#8221; &#8221; City staff is reviewing products and giving desires to candidates with children under 18, disabled individuals, soldiers, elderly over 65, households who are ineligible for other federal assistance, households with a female-identifying head of household, and families with members with marginalized gender identities ,&#8221; the city people said.<\/p>\n<p>Families had to live in Chelsea and have a home income that was 30 % below the local middle in order to be available. To participate in the program, households of one would need to earn less than$ 29, 450, and those of two would require a minimum income of$ 33, 650. Each new family member saw an increase in the amount.<\/p>\n<p>The amount given is based on the number of people living in the home.
