Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) argued against spending more taxpayer money on COVID-19 relief until the money from the last stimulus has been spent. Speaking from the Senate floor on Friday, Graham said there is still billions in unspent funds sitting in the federal reserve from last year\u2019s CARES Act.<\/p>\n<p>He went on to argue that since the Senate passed President Trump\u2019s 2020 bill, \u201cthings are looking better.\u201d The senator added he would want to slow down and spend the money \u201cnot spent wisely\u201d before embarking on a $1.9 trillion \u201cspending spree.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">ICYMI:<\/p>\n<p>Spoke about the $1.9 trillion <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/COVID19?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#COVID19<\/a> legislation Democrats are preparing to jam through the Senate without GOP support.<\/p>\n<p>\u27a1\ufe0f 90% of the money is unrelated to COVID.<\/p>\n<p>\u27a1\ufe0f Democrats are using reconciliation to fund their liberal wish list!<\/p>\n<p>WATCH:<a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/BDXygdI6bu\">https:\/\/t.co\/BDXygdI6bu<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Lindsey Graham (@LindseyGrahamSC) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/LindseyGrahamSC\/status\/1367571268179009536?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">March 4, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>\u201cAnother point for the American people, of all the money I just described to you that we appropriated in a bipartisan fashion, we haven\u2019t spent it all yet,\u201d Graham stated. \u201cOf the administrative actions, we\u2019ve got still $200 billion left to spend. Of the legislative appropriations, we\u2019re appropriated $4.1 trillion.
