According to the outlet\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.provokemedia.com\/ranking-and-data\/innovator-25\/innovator-25-2021\/innovator-25-americas-2021\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">website<\/a>, the \u201cInnovator 25\u201d list features individuals \u201cwho are addressing the [public relations] industry\u2019s challenges with ingenuity and insight to make meaningful \u2014 and hopefully lasting\u2014 change at time when it\u2019s needed more than ever.\u201d<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-2-long d-flex justify-content-center\" style=\"margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center; \" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-2072115902\">\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-1379703300879-0\" class=\"mb-30\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div  class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-ba2f1d7015aed3b4ec9a582e2b1c23b8 fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-2\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-ba2f1d7015aed3b4ec9a582e2b1c23b8\"><\/div>\n<p>During the 2021 interview, Morris was asked how the public relations industry can \u201cmake real progress in diversity, inclusion and equity.\u201d For context, diversity, inclusion, and equity (often abbreviated to DEI or, more appropriately, DIE) is a divisive and poisonous ideology that dismisses merit to discriminate based on characteristics such as skin color and sex. Individuals who qualify for a certain position on their merits, but don\u2019t meet the entity\u2019s goal of being more \u201cdiverse,\u201d are passed over in favor of those who check whatever box leftists find acceptable.<\/p>\n<p>In her response, Morris described the \u201cunique position\u201d Anheuser-Busch is in to \u201cbring attention to DE&#038;I issues\u201d in a way that \u201cdrive[s] positive change and create[s] a more equitable world.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs an organization and a family of brands, we can leverage our scale and resources to further conversations around DE&#038;I and help consumers understand the difference they can make as individuals,\u201d Morris said. In other words, even if our loyal Bud Light customers have no interest in cultural Marxism, it\u2019s our job to <em>educate<\/em> them.<\/p>\n<p>Morris\u2019 apparent indulgence in leftist ideology doesn\u2019t stop there. Several posts from Morris\u2019 Twitter account reveal her to be a left-wing partisan. On Nov. 4, 2020 \u2014 a day following the 2020 presidential election \u2014 Morris tweeted, \u201cJeopardy had a category tonight called \u2018He\u2019s Out\u2019 featuring world leaders no longer in office,\u201d along with a gif of then-House Speaker Nancy Pelosi clapping. The tweet appears to be in reference to incoming election results showing Joe Biden leading then-President Donald Trump.<\/p>\n<div  class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-bf81ceae9ef744dcafd4fda6a18af84f fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-6\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-bf81ceae9ef744dcafd4fda6a18af84f\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<p>In a separate tweet two days after the U.S. Supreme Court <a href=\"https:\/\/www.supremecourt.gov\/opinions\/21pdf\/19-1392_6j37.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">struck down <em>Roe v. Wade<\/em><\/a>, sending abortion back to be decided by the states, Morris asked people looking to donate money to \u201cprotect access to women\u2019s health care\u201d to check to see if their employer \u201cmatches donations to 501(c) organizations.\u201d In the tweet, Morris tagged several pro-abortion groups such as NARAL, Planned Parenthood, and the Center for Reproductive Rights.<\/p>\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<p>Morris isn\u2019t the only Anheuser-Busch official seemingly interested in reshaping the company\u2019s image. During a March 30 interview on the \u201cMake Yourself at Home\u201d podcast, Alissa Heinerscheid, Bud Light\u2019s vice president of marketing, <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2023\/04\/10\/bud-lights-marketing-vp-was-inspired-to-update-fratty-out-of-touch-branding\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">discussed<\/a> her \u201csuper clear\u201d mandate to \u201cevolve\u201d and \u201celevate\u201d the company\u2019s brand. In her remarks, Heinerscheid also trashed Bud Light\u2019s previous branding, saying it was \u201cfratty\u201d and used \u201cout-of-touch humor\u201d to appeal to consumers.<\/p>\n<p>According to the<a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2023\/04\/10\/bud-lights-marketing-vp-was-inspired-to-update-fratty-out-of-touch-branding\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"> New York Post<\/a>, Heinerscheid \u201csaid that what she \u2018brought\u2019 to the brand was a \u2018belief\u2019 that to evolve and elevate means to incorporate \u2018inclusivity, it means shifting the tone, it means having a campaign that\u2019s truly inclusive, and feels lighter and brighter and different, and appeals to women and to men.&#8217;\u201d<\/p>\n<p>These revelations come days after the company\u2019s Bud Light brand received well-deserved backlash for making transgender-identifying TikTokker Dylan Mulvaney a brand ambassador. On April 1, Mulvaney <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/media\/bud-light-pact-trans-activist-dylan-mulvaney-helps-authentically-connect-with-audiences\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">revealed<\/a> on social media that Bud Light had sent him a beer can with his face on it to celebrate his year of \u201cgirlhood,\u201d calling it his \u201cmost prized possession.\u201d<\/p>\n<div  class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-ea3d0cec7eb260ed4f2233239b54a0e2 fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-10\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-ea3d0cec7eb260ed4f2233239b54a0e2\"><\/div>\n<p>In a statement provided to Fox News, Anheuser-Busch attempted to defend its embrace of Mulvaney and transgenderism, saying it \u201cworks with hundreds of influencers across our brands as one of many ways to authentically connect with audiences across various demographics.\u201d The company also referred to Mulvaney\u2019s claims of being a woman as a \u201cpersonal milestone.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As of Monday afternoon, Bud Light has <a href=\"https:\/\/cnsnews.com\/blog\/craig-bannister\/bud-light-goes-dark-social-media-dylan-mulvaney-trans-can-controversy-brews\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">not posted<\/a> on its major social media accounts since April 1.<\/p>\n<p>Anheuser-Busch did respond to The Federalist\u2019s request for comment on whether it is company policy to \u201cfurther conversations around DE&#038;I and help consumers understand the difference they can make as individuals,\u201d as Morris said, or whether the desire to push DEI onto Anheuser-Busch customers was the impetus behind the Mulvaney\/Bud Light PR stunt.<\/p>\n<div  class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-978048a9864589539df87be3c394f02f fdrlst__b89e9-after-post-content\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-978048a9864589539df87be3c394f02f\"><\/div>\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\">\n<div class=\"article-author-description fst-italic\">   Shawn Fleetwood is a Staff Writer for The Federalist and a graduate of the University of Mary Washington.
