Thomas Massie( R-Ky. ) reintroduced his&#8221; Safe Students Act&#8221; to repeal all federal gun-free zones, just days after a video of him being yelled at over his proposal to arm teachers by Democrat representatives went viral.<\/p>\n<p>According to a statement from Massie, the Gun-Free School Zones Act, which was passed as part of the Crime Control Act of 1990, really puts students in danger rather than defending them.<\/p>\n<p>&#8221; Gun-free areas reduce the safety of our school.&#8221; According to Massie&#8217;s&#8217;s statement, 94 percent of surface public shootings have taken place in areas where people are not allowed to own firearms since 1950.<\/p>\n<p>Massie&#8217;s&#8217;s two-page card is comparatively succinct and direct for a document created by politicians and attorneys.
