The Food and Drug Administration ( FDA ) is currently debating whether to make a progestin-only pill the <a href=\"https:\/\/naturalwomanhood.org\/over-the-counter-birth-control\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">first-ever over-the-counter birth control pill<\/a> in the United States. Of course, they still won&#8217;t admit to increased risks for ovarian tumors for ever-users of birth controls, just for current users.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-2-long d-flex justify-content-center\" style=\"margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center; \" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-1826029724\">\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-1379703300879-0\" class=\"mb-30\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-3fff0b34aa600a0eb4f57f6ab4d8a375 fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-2\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-3fff0b34aa600a0eb4f57f6ab4d8a375\"><\/div>\n<p>Unsurprisingly, for a few weeks, headlines in another instance of&#8221; nothing to see here, folks ,&#8221; carefully <a href=\"https:\/\/www.verywellhealth.com\/hormonal-birth-control-breast-cancer-risk-7370583\">emphasizing<\/a> the&#8221; slight&#8221; or&#8221; small&#8221; increase in ovarian tumors risk, were full of the Oxford study&#8217;s&#8217;s findings. We have a line that states,&#8221; Pregnancy is much higher risk than any associated risk with birth control pills or hormonal contraception ,&#8221; if you speak with any OB \/ GYN. Therefore, you must have that discussion based on you and your healthcare provider.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>I agree that a person should consult her doctor about her health care, but is it <em>really <\/em>true that birth control is in much&#8221; safer&#8221; than nine-month baby given everything we know about its risks and side effects? After all, wives frequently use birth control for centuries or even years at a time. What about the frequently cited advantages of hormonal birth control in preventing ovarian and uterine malignancies? Dr. Ashton may be shocked to learn that baby also has those, though.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s&#8217;s also important to note that, despite the fact that ovarian and uterine cancers can both be fatal, ovarian tumors is currently the most frequently diagnosed cancer in the world and has a baseline risk that is significantly higher for the average woman. In other words, doctors and health care facilities <em>should <\/em>seriously consider raising the average woman&#8217;s&#8217;s risk of ovarian tumors even slightly. One wonders what foot they are standing on right now and if they will continue to disregard these serious risks to women, which can be completely avoided by using highly efficient, alcohol &#8211; and side-effect-free techniques known as fertility awareness-based methods for family planning.<\/p>\n<p>Sometimes the National Cancer Institute acknowledges that the FDA has once again demonstrated that it is at odds with the best scientific evidence on this issue with its publication of the Oxford research.
