The letter was shared with The Federalist. Colangelo was hired four months ago to&#8221; jump start&#8221; Bragg&#8217;s Trump&#8217;s investigations, according to the New York Times in December, after spending years pursuing the former president at the Department of Justice and the office of the state attorney general.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-2-long d-flex justify-content-center\" style=\"margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center; \" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-1287321247\">\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-1379703300879-0\" class=\"mb-30\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-12029522a40ecd60b6716c6e913c0a71 fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-2\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-12029522a40ecd60b6716c6e913c0a71\"><\/div>\n<p>Jordan wrote,&#8221; We ask for your assistance with our lapse in your particular strength given your evolution working for law-enforcement organizations that are pursuing President Trump and the public coverage surrounding your decision to work for the New York County District Attorney&#8217;s Office&#8217;s.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Trump entered a not-guilty plea on Tuesday in the historical trial of the 34-count criminal indictment, which could result in an additional <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/trump-faces-maximum-sentence-136-years-prison-34-count-indictment\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">136-year<\/a> prison term. The allegations are related to 2016 hush-money payments made to porno actress Stormy Daniels in a case that was originally dropped by the prosecution. Twelve democratic law professors and Trump opponents have declared the trial to be over due to the case&#8217;s weakness&#8217;s.<\/p>\n<p>After Bragg has spent weeks defying lawmakers&#8217; monitoring requests, the chairman of the House of Justice reminded Colangelo of Congress&#8217;s right&#8217;s to look into the Manhattan DA office. According to Fox News, the Committee is considering issuing official summons for Bragg&#8217;s position as a result of the back-and-forth. The summons for Mark Pomerantz, a former Bragg prosecutor who resigned earlier years due to sluggish success in his attempts to hold Trump, was executed by politicians on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>Jordan admitted to lawmakers on Fox News Monday that his work had used federal money to look into Trump&#8217;s case&#8217;s against the Manhattan DA.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-90c5b1180399f59a6b379f1960838425 fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-6\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-90c5b1180399f59a6b379f1960838425\"><\/div>\n<p>In his letter to Colangelo, Jordan stated that&#8221; The Committee may therefore consider legislation to enhance reporting requirements regarding the use of federal forfeiture funds and \/ or to prohibit the usage of such funds to investigate a current or former President or presidential candidate.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The commission is requesting that Colangelo turn over paperwork pertaining to his employment and prepare for a technical interview. Colangelo was given until April 21 to give politicians a routine of his presence.<\/p>\n<p>Users of Bragg&#8217;s faculty deleted their online information as the Manhattan DA office braces for harsh oversight from House Republicans.
