In order to give the president a talking point 18 months before an election, the White House wants to saddle schools with biologically based <a href=\"https:\/\/www2.ed.gov\/about\/offices\/list\/ocr\/docs\/t9-ath-nprm.pdf?utm_content=&#038;utm_medium=email&#038;utm_name=&#038;utm_source=govdelivery&#038;utm_term=\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">rules<\/a> with the burden of proving their case against female athlete bans from adult leagues.<\/p>\n<p>The Department of Education proposed new rules that may nullify the current 20 state bans on men participating in women&#8217;s sports&#8217;s. At the same time, Nine Name requirements and federally funded schools may prohibit female athletes from playing on sexual teams in competitive leagues.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-2-long d-flex justify-content-center\" style=\"margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center; \" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-638434016\">\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-1379703300879-0\" class=\"mb-30\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-e161d940933c46c1959c987d9f6f9d11 fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-2\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-e161d940933c46c1959c987d9f6f9d11\"><\/div>\n<p>In a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ed.gov\/news\/press-releases\/fact-sheet-us-department-educations-proposed-change-its-title-ix-regulations-students-eligibility-athletic-teams\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">press release<\/a>, Education Secretary Miguel Cardona stated that&#8221; every student should be able to experience the complete experience of attending college in America, including participating in sports, free from bias.&#8221; &#8221; For students of all ages, being on a sports team is an important part of the school have.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Before prohibiting trans athletes from competing in leagues against their natural gender, the Nine Name amendments require schools to review a strict set of standards.
