Hartford police had arrested Comey in March after she drunkenly flipped her car along a busy stretch of road near the Connecticut State Capitol. The bodycam footage shows that she failed to identify her whereabouts prior to the crash and could not explain what happened.<\/p>\n<p>When asked about the incident by the police, Comey said &#8220;I don&#8217;t know&#8221;. She also did not know which restaurant she visited before the crash and said that she failed to eat anything. Police later revealed that she was drinking at a nearby tavern with three of her Democratic colleagues before attempting to drive home at nearly twice the legal blood alcohol limit.<\/p>\n<p>Since the release of the compromising footage, increased pressure is on Comey to resign, but top Connecticut Democrats have stood by her so far. Comey plans to return to her legislative duties after finishing alcohol treatment.<\/p>\n<p>However, this is not the first time Comey has faced scrutiny from an alcohol-related incident. Two years ago, she slurred her words during a House floor speech, prompting ridicule from late night host Jimmy Kimmel.
