Special Counsel Robert Hur has been assigned to investigate Biden&#8217;s alleged mishandling of classified information.<\/p>\n<p>Others who are reportedly subpoenaed to testify include former White House advisors Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner, former Chief of Staff Mark Meadows, and Pence.<\/p>\n<p>Pence argued against the subpoena from Smith because of the separation of powers, citing that he was serving as the President of the Senate during the Capitol Riot on January 6, 2021.<\/p>\n<p>The judge decided that Pence is immune from answering some questions regarding his job as President of the Senate but must attend the Grand Jury and answer questions.<\/p>\n<p>Jack Smith was appointed by Attorney General Merrick Garland in November 2022 to investigate Trump&#8217;s alleged mishandling of classified documents and potential involvement in the January 6, 2021 Capitol riot.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Trump special counsel to subpoena Secret Service agents: Report Special counsel Jack Smith has reportedly subpoenaed several Secret Service agents close to former President Donald Trump regarding his investigations of the former president.
