Here are the worst media reactions:<\/p>\n<p><strong>1) Conservatives\u2019 Fault <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>According to NBC News, some conservative outlets blamed the suspect&#8217;s gender identity for the tragedy, linking it to their national crusade against transgender rights.<\/p>\n<p><strong>2) Fear in the Trans Community<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>NBC news also published a story suggesting that the disclosing of the shooter&#8217;s transgender identity caused trans people to fear for their safety. A trans activist interviewed in the story predicted that more blood would be shed. <\/p>\n<p><strong>3) GOP &#8220;bullying&#8221; <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Cenk Uygur, a left-wing journalist, believes that the shooting happened due to the right-wing&#8217;s bullying ideology. The shooter&#8217;s transgender identity, according to Uygur, is proof that the conservatives shouldn&#8217;t bully others for who they are.<\/p>\n<p><strong>4) Blaming the Republican party<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Columnist of The Nation and an MSNBC talking head, Elie Mystal, blamed the massacre on the party of literal death and anyone who votes for them<\/p>\n<p><strong>5) Republican drag show ban connection<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Several news outlets attempted to find a connection between the crime and the Tennessee government&#8217;s ban on drag shows &#8220;in public or near children.&#8221; Newsweek reported that the &#8220;ban on drag shows [for children]&#8221; was &#8220;criticized&#8221; after the shooting, and Terry Moran of ABC News implied that these laws were what motivated the shooter to kill children.<\/p>\n<p><strong>6) Attacking the Daily Wire<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Benjamin Ryan, a freelance journalist for NBC News, thought that it was important to brag about Nashville being the hub of anti-trans activity, home to the Daily Wire. He deleted the tweet after being called out for its stupidity.<\/p>\n<p><strong>7) Corporate America Shamed<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>CNN expressed disappointment that few companies spoke out after the Nashville shooting. They were concerned that businesses might not believe it was their responsibility to weigh in on political debates concerning gun control.<\/p>\n<p><strong>8) Democrats call to violence ignored<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Few mainstream national outlets bothered to report that Josselyn Berry, the press secretary for Gov. Katie Hobbs (D., Ariz.), shared a meme that condoned violence against &#8220;transphobes&#8221; after identifying the Nashville shooter as transgender. HuffPost only focused on the heavy criticism from right-wing lawmakers using the shooting to spout anti-trans rhetoric.<\/p>\n<p><strong>9) Laughing with Sleepy Joe<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Before addressing the shooting during a press conference, President Joe Biden joked and laughed about eating ice cream.<\/p>\n<p><strong>BONUS:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Rep.
