In a set of &#8220;Pathways to Commercial Liftoff&#8221; reports issued on March 21, the Biden administration listed clean hydrogen, long-duration energy storage, and advanced nuclear as the critical technologies to achieve these emission reduction targets.<\/p>\n<p>In order to meet Biden\u2019s net-zero emission goal, each area requires consistent investments. The main obstacle to clean hydrogen is infrastructure expansion and demand uncertainty, while that for long-duration energy storage is cost reduction. The key factor in developing more advanced nuclear power is to create long-term, high-paying employment opportunities for traditional energy-producing communities, such as those that produce coal.<\/p>\n<p>Biden&#8217;s administration will need hundreds of millions of investments in the listed areas to reach net-zero emissions by 2050.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;To stay on track to realize long-term decarbonization targets, cumulative investments must rise to approximately $300 billion across the hydrogen, nuclear, and long duration energy storage sectors, with continued acceleration until 2050,&#8221; the DOE said in a press release.<\/p>\n<p>The DOE is committed to driving up Government-Industry partnership to ensure that the United States becomes the global leader in clean energy technologies, according to Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;What we want to do is ensure that we\u2019re looking at all technologies that can be effective in realizing the President&#8217;s ambitious climate goals, and explain how we can drive commercialization for these critical technologies,&#8221; said Vanessa Chan, the DOE chief commercialization officer, in a webinar presenting the new liftoff reports.<\/p>\n<h2>The Experts Claim that Biden&#8217;s Energy Plan is a Dangerous Delusion<\/h2>\n<p>During his State of the Union speech in February, President Joe Biden stated that he would &#8220;finish the job&#8221; of the &#8220;incredible transition&#8221; to wind and solar energy from fossil fuels.<\/p>\n<p>Biden referred to $370 billion in new government spending dedicated to renewable energy investment, termed as the &#8220;Inflation Reduction Act,&#8221; which would result in &#8220;lowering utility bills, creating American jobs, and leading the world to a clean energy future.&#8221;<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_4316513\" style=\"width: 3000px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"https:\/\/img.theepochtimes.com\/assets\/uploads\/2022\/03\/04\/article-image-victor-davis-hanson-1200x800.jpeg\"><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\"><noscript><\/noscript><\/figcaption><\/a> President Joe Biden arrives to deliver the State of the Union address during a joint session of Congress in the U.S. Capito<\/figure>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Department of Energy (DOE) identified three targeted areas in a clean energy technologies roadmap.
