She added that these efforts are likely to backfire, as this kind of political prosecution goes against the values of both the Democratic and Republican parties.<\/p>\n<p>Ellis also referred to Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, who is considered one of Trump&#8217;s top potential rivals for the Republican nomination in 2024.
