He criticized Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg for pursuing charges after both Bragg\u2019s predecessor and federal prosecutors declined to do so. Pence also expressed his belief that singling out Trump appears to be an example of \u201ca two-tiered justice system,\u201d which he believes the American people are fed up with.<\/p>\n<p>Despite the fact that a grand jury, not Bragg, voted to indict Trump, Pence stated that the prosecutor is very influential in the process and \u201cthe threshold of proof is very low.\u201d As an attorney himself, Pence called the prosecution \u201can outrage\u201d and emphasized that there is a possibility that a judge will throw out the case before it goes to trial.<\/p>\n<p>Pence also addressed the media\u2019s \u201cobsession\u201d with Trump, saying that during his travels around the country, not a single citizen raised the issue of the probes Trump has been facing.
