Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) and had an encounter with her in the Capitol. Raichik had tried to meet with Ocasio-Cortez last week regarding allegations made during a congressional hearing but was unsuccessful. She sought help from the conservative think tank The Heritage Foundation to file the official complaint instead. <\/p>\n<p>When the two met in the hallway, Raichik explained that she had delivered an ethics complaint because Ocasio-Cortez lied about her in a congressional hearing. Ocasio-Cortez denied the accusation and accused Raichik of being transphobic. The encounter ended with Ocasio-Cortez saying, &#8220;Thank you, but no thank you, you&#8217;re super transphobic.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Ocasio-Cortez had previously claimed that Raichik&#8217;s vocal opposition to gender transition procedures for children had resulted in harassment and threats against medical professionals. During her appearance at a February hearing, Ocasio-Cortez said Raichik&#8217;s followers circulated a lie that ultimately led to &#8220;real-life harassment and ultimately a bomb threat&#8221; against Boston Children&#8217;s Hospital.<\/p>\n<p>Raichik had initially tried to confront Ocasio-Cortez in person last week but was told that the congresswoman was not in her office. When Raichik left a post-it note on Ocasio-Cortez&#8217;s door telling her not to &#8220;lie about American citizens,&#8221; she received no response from the congresswoman.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Libs of TikTok creator Chaya Raichik went to the Capitol on Thursday to file an ethics complaint against Rep.
