But Michael Fletcher, who was watching the trial on Court TV, was able to view the link on TV and access the information contained within in \u201cprobably like two minutes,\u201d sending it to Paltrow\u2019s defense team, the New York Post <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2023\/03\/28\/viewer-who-accessed-group-chat-in-paltrow-case-says-opening-link-was-just-common-sense\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s comical how easy it was,\u201d Fletcher <a href=\"https:\/\/www.courttv.com\/title\/viewer-who-uncovered-group-chat-in-gwyneth-paltrow-ski-crash-case-speaks-to-court-tv\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">told<\/a> Court TV when the outlet interviewed him. \u201cThey kept repeating that it\u2019s the most important piece of evidence, and they couldn\u2019t figure it out. They had no idea how to open the link.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Paltrow\u2019s attorneys reportedly asked Sanderson\u2019s daughters about GoPro camera footage of the incident that occurred on February 26, 2016, on a beginner\u2019s slope at Deer Valley Resort in Park City, Utah, a resort town known for hosting the Sundance Film Festival.<\/p>\n<p>Fletcher was able to access the information sent to Paltrow\u2019s attorneys, which included messages from a man named Craig Ramon, who says he was the only person who witnessed the collision between Paltrow and Sanderson.<\/p>\n<p>Sanderson has claimed that neither he nor those close to him knew that Paltrow was the other skier involved in the accident until sometime later, but Ramon\u2019s messages make clear that he immediately knew Paltrow was involved.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou could not make this up. Gwyneth took out Terry last week,\u201d Ramon wrote in the messages uncovered by Fletcher. \u201cLast Saturday, her son broke his arm skiing at Park City. Gwyneth was staying at the Montage. She took her plane out of Millionaire Airport. What makes me mad is Gwyneth took out Terry and then took off.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The messages also reportedly showed that Sanderson and his friends also knew early on that Paltrow was the woman on the slope.<\/p>\n<p><b data-stringify-type=\"bold\"><a class=\"c-link c-link--focus-visible\" href=\"https:\/\/onelink.to\/dwapp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-stringify-link=\"https:\/\/onelink.to\/dwapp\" data-sk=\"tooltip_parent\" aria-describedby=\"sk-tooltip-17035\">CLICK HERE TO GET THE DAILY WIRE APP<\/a><\/b><\/p>\n<p>Fletcher said that all he needed to do to open the link that baffled attorneys was to log in to the website where it was hosted.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLike, I can\u2019t believe they didn\u2019t do this already. It\u2019s almost a joke,\u201d he told Court TV. \u201cAll I did was create a login for the website. If it\u2019s a website that requires a login, you can\u2019t access anything on it without a login \u2026 then the link works. It\u2019s simple.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Sanderson claims that the actress was skiing behind him on the slope and had turned to watch her children before, as his attorney said in court Tuesday, \u201cshe turns her head back down, she screams, then skis into the back of Terry Sanderson.\u201d Sanderson\u2019s attorney, Lawrence Buhler, said that after the collision, his client was left \u201cfacedown in the snow, unconscious,\u201d\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/lifestyle\/2023\/03\/21\/gwyneth-paltrow-ski-trial\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">according to The Washington Post<\/a>. After the encounter, Paltrow allegedly fled, leaving Sanderson \u201cstunned, lying in the snow, seriously injured,\u201d according to his lawsuit. Paltrow didn\u2019t call for help, he added.<\/p>\n<p>Sanderson later went to an emergency room and was diagnosed with a concussion and four broken ribs. Sanderson\u2019s ski companion, Craig Ramon, testified at the civil trial that he saw Paltrow crash into Sanderson and knock him over.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI hear this scream and then I see this skier just slam into the back of Terry,\u201d Ramon testified.<\/p>\n<p>Sanderson\u2019s lawsuit\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/gwyneth-paltrow-reportedly-to-take-stand-accused-of-hit-and-run-ski-accident\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">claims he suffered<\/a>\u00a0a\u00a0\u201cpermanent traumatic brain injury, four broken ribs, pain, suffering, loss of enjoyment of life, emotional distress and disfigurement.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Paltrow\u2019s attorneys have argued that, while a collision\u00a0<em>did<\/em>\u00a0occur between the actress and Sanderson seven years ago, it was the retired optometrist who crashed into her. One of her attorneys, Stephen Owens, said at the trial that because Paltrow was struck so suddenly, she at first thought she was being assaulted.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe\u2019s skiing, enjoying herself,\u201d Owens said. \u201cSuddenly she sees two skis appear between her skis. And a man comes up right behind her.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Owens said that right after the crash, Sanderson asked, \u201cWho ran into who?\u201d and then apologized to Paltrow after she said that he ran into her. Paltrow\u2019s defense team said members of her group checked on Sanderson after the accident and he said he was okay and said the same thing to a ski patrol member who came to check on them. The actress\u2019 attorneys said Paltrow only skied away after Sanderson said he was okay and after ski patrol left and that the retired optometrist only sought help after he waved away ski patrol.<\/p>\n<p>Owens said Ramon\u2019s account of the incident was \u201ca whole different, crazy story.\u201d Owens argued that Sanderson didn\u2019t know that Paltrow was involved at the time since she was wearing a helmet and goggles.
