Scruggs lost his nine-year-old daughter, Hallie Scruggs, in the shooting, along with two other nine-year-old children and three adult staff members from the school.<\/p>\n<p>The shooter, a 28-year-old woman, identified as a man and executed a \u201ctargeted attack\u201d at the school, which is affiliated with the conservative evangelical congregation and Presbyterian Church in America.<\/p>\n<p>In the aftermath of the incident, Woodmont Baptist Church, a nearby Southern Baptist congregation, became a refuge for parents who were waiting to be reunited with their children. The senior minister, Nathan Parker, and other staff members have been helping those in need.<\/p>\n<p>Support from the Christian community has been overwhelming, with thousands of people taking to social media to offer their prayers for Scruggs and his family.
