Summing up its content, noting \u201cvillains use mind control to force a character to walk off the roof of a building and fall to their death,\u201d he <a href=\"https:\/\/screencrush.com\/no-kids-movies-in-theaters\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">concluded<\/a>: \u201cIt is not a movie for little kids.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The TV landscape presents similar problems. During spring break, many viewers could catch up on top series like HBO\u2019s \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/tag\/the-last-of-us\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The Last of Us<\/a>,\u201d foul-mouthed comedy \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2021\/09\/27\/ted-lasso-is-the-gentle-dramedy-of-monocultures-last-gasp\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Ted Lasso<\/a>,\u201d or whatever young-adult genre show Netflix has out this week. While reliable critics note the first two series have merit for adults, does every well-written show need wall-to-wall cursing and explicit violence?\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Yet values such as honor, a strong work ethic, and selfless friendship can still be found in a few of those 2,000-plus TV series <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/posts\/variety_this-year-saw-2024-original-shows-released-activity-7011455931427282944-u9PO\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">currently<\/a> being produced. Granted, several TV picks listed here grapple with mature themes and some feature violence not suited for the youngest viewers.
