About 30 % of the other respondents said they had no choice.<\/p>\n<p><b><a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/campaigns\/more-than-six-in-10-do-not-want-trump-as-president-poll\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">MORE THAN 6 % OF PEOPLE DO NOT WANT TRUMP TO BE Leader: POLL<\/a><\/b><\/p>\n<p>Vice President <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/kamala-harris\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Kamala Harris<\/a> was the front-runner to unseat Biden among the 44 % who wanted someone else to run for the Democratic nomination, winning 13 % of the vote. 6 % of the vote went to Senator Bernie Sanders( I-VT ) and Transportation Secretary <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/pete-buttigieg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Pete Buttigieg<\/a>. Sen. <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/elizabeth-warren\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Elizabeth Warren<\/a>( D-MA ) received 4 % of the vote, and 3 % of voters chose Gov. <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/gavin-newsom\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Gavin Newsom<\/a>( D-CA )<\/p>\n<p>74 % of respondents said they had a positive opinion of the current president, while only 14 % expressed an unfavorable opinion.<\/p>\n<p>Subjects were also asked to contrast Biden with their preferred Democratic primary nominee for 2020. 44 % of respondents said they thought their candidate would have performed better. However, 46 % predicted that they would follow the current president&#8217;s lead. Biden hasn&#8217;t already declared his intention to run for reelection, but he is anticipated to do so quickly.
