In Michigan, about 71 % of Republicans and right-leaning independents supported the laws, compared to 40 % of their counterparts who opposed them, or 46 % of Democrats and left-lens.<\/p>\n<p>Following their takeover of the government, Whitmer and his allies among Democratic lawmakers have given different gun control measures top priority. A red flag law may be established by one act, allowing a jury to approve the taking of firearms from someone who is thought to be endangering themselves or others.
