Sanderson\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.buzzfeednews.com\/article\/tasneemnashrulla\/gwyneth-paltrow-hit-run-ski-crash-lawsuit\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">claimed<\/a>\u00a0he suffered a \u201cpermanent traumatic brain injury, four broken ribs, pain, suffering, loss of enjoyment of life, emotional distress and disfigurement,\u201d and that Paltrow \u201cgot up, turned and skied away,\u201d leaving him \u201cstunned, lying in the snow, seriously injured\u201d without calling for help.<\/p>\n<p>Asked at the trial about any losses she suffered from the accident, Paltrow glibly replied, \u201cWell, we lost half a day of skiing.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhite Chicks\u201d star Busy Philipps and actress Jen Tullock responded on Instagram by posting Paltrow\u2019s statement with a photo of the two women holding drinks.<\/p>\n<p>Another critic referenced the \u201cvagina candles\u201d Paltrow\u2019s Goop company produced, snapping, \u201cHalf a day of skiing that she will never get back! How many vagina candles did that cost her?!?!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>That was echoed by another critic, who wrote, \u201c\u2019Well, I lost half a day of skiing\u2026\u2019 \u2014Gwyneth Paltrow \ud83d\ude02 I mean, this whole \u2018trial\u2019 is bat-shit crazy. Makes me kinda miss the vagina candle and the $12K vibrator.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The \u201clawsuit is completely without merit \u2026 anyone who reads the facts will realize that,\u201d a representative for Paltrow has responded to the lawsuit. Paltrow filed a countersuit, asking for $1 and the costs of her legal expenses if she won.<\/p>\n<p>Paltrow has called the lawsuit \u2014 which states that Deer Valley ski instructor Eric Christiansen didn\u2019t see the incident but blamed Sanderson for the accident and filed a false report to buttress Paltrow\u2019s version of events \u2014 \u00a0\u201ca meritless claim\u201d and \u201can attempt to exploit her celebrity and wealth.\u201d She has stated that she \u201cremembers what happened very clearly.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><b data-stringify-type=\"bold\"><a class=\"c-link\" href=\"https:\/\/onelink.to\/dwapp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-stringify-link=\"https:\/\/onelink.to\/dwapp\" data-sk=\"tooltip_parent\" aria-describedby=\"sk-tooltip-1306\">CLICK HERE TO GET THE DAILYWIRE+ APP<\/a><\/b><\/p>\n<p>Paltrow\u2019s countersuit stated that Sanderson admitted he didn\u2019t remember the incident, and that Sanderson skied downhill into her in a \u201cfull body blow.\u201d She claimed Christiansen saw the incident, that she was angry, and that Sanderson apologized.<\/p>\n<p>An acquaintance of Sanderson\u2019s, Craig Ramon, claimed he saw the incident and Paltrow \u201clanded right on top of him, and then she slides off to the side.\u201d Paltrow \u201cdidn\u2019t say a single word,\u201d Ramon claimed, adding that she did not seek help.<\/p>\n<p>Last July, Paltrow, who has made tens of millions of dollars with her lifestyle company Goop, explained the meaning behind Goop\u2019s candle named \u201cThis Smells Like My Vagina.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Paltrow introduced the product in 2020; it reportedly sold out within hours of being available.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Gwyneth Paltrow, who is testifying in a trial in which a retired optometrist is suing her for allegedly crashing into him on a ski slope, was mocked for a statement she made about any loss she suffered from the accident.
