Scott<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>According to Ocasio-Cortez, protecting Americans from&#8221; this kind of egregious data harvesting&#8221; by businesses is the right course of action rather than&#8221; banning an individual company.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>TikTok has already been outlawed across all public products in a number of states, with Gov. The first to do so was South Dakota&#8217;s Kris Noem( R ). According to Yahoo Finance, many states have done the same, including <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/virginia\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Virginia<\/a>, Texas, and Ohio.<\/p>\n<p>The TikTok video from Ocasio-Cortez was released just days before the social media app was outlawed on all federal instruments on March 29.
