Alvin Bragg, the <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/new-york\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Manhattan<\/a> District Attorney, was the target of Trump&#8217;s specific criticism, calling him a&#8221; degenerate psychopath&#8221; who&#8221; truly&#8221; despises the USA.<\/p>\n<p><b><a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/house\/house-gop-expands-investigation-into-manhattan\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ahead of the anticipated Trump accusation, the House GOP expands its investigation into the Manhattan district attorney.<\/a><\/b><\/p>\n<p>What kind of girl could accuse someone else, in this case a former president of the United States who received more votes than any other president in history and was by far the front-runner! This is in response to Trump&#8217;s most recent attacks. After Trump posted over the weekend that he anticipated being arrested on Tuesday and urged his supporters to protest and&#8221; take our nation back ,&#8221; the case had gained more attention throughout the week.<\/p>\n<p>It would be the first time a former president has been charged in U.S. background if charges were brought against him. Trump&#8217;s potential prices are still unknown, but earlier this month, after his former lawyer <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/michael-cohen\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Michael Cohen<\/a> testified before the Manhattan great rumors, rumors of an to started to circulate.<\/p>\n<p>Cohen was found guilty in 2018 after admitting to paying <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/stormy-daniels\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Stormy Daniels<\/a> and two other women who accused Trump of having sex with him to keep quiet. Cohen gave Daniels$ 130,000 as part of the plan, and the Trump Organization thereafter paid him back.<\/p>\n<p>Later, Manhattan prosecutors launched an inquiry into the possibility that Trump fabricated business records in order to list the insurance as a formal expense. In New York, this type of violence is a criminal, but if Bragg&#8217;s work asserts that the fraud was meant to cover up another crime, it could be elevated to the rank of felony.<\/p>\n<p>Due to advice from the <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/doj\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Justice Department<\/a> that a leader who is currently in office may be charged with any crimes, federal prosecutors did not file claims against Trump at the time of Cohen&#8217;s test. However, just before Trump resigned from office in 2021, prosecutors picked up the conversation about potential costs.<\/p>\n<p>GOP lawmakers were quick to criticize Trump&#8217;s potential calling, calling it a social ploy back of an important election cycle.
